Following this person called Jesus

Alright, everyone. This Sunday’s study will be a bit different. I hope you are ready.

It will be different because YOU will be designing the study. That’s right, you, all of you, every single one. Allow me to explain.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to locate a passage or passages in Luke that speak to you about the importance of following Jesus. Further, your mission is to try to define, as best you can, what following Jesus means. Finally, your mission is to tell the group on Sunday about an experience from your life that illustrates the idea of following this person called Jesus.

I know this is quite a large category/topic. I want you to take liberties and express whatever comes to you when you think about following Jesus. However, if you don’t know where to look in Luke for relevant info, skim through chapters 12-18 - you’ll find a lot of red letters and several familiar excerpts from Jesus’ world-famous sermon on the mount.

And if you’re really desperate, try Lu. 14:25-35 on for size.

Can’t wait to hear what you come up with!
