To prepare for this Sunday’s study, read the following passages in Luke:

Luke 23:26-49
Luke 24:1-12
Luke 24:46-53
Or, if you’re really ambitious, simply read Luke 22-24 in its entirety.
If you’d like some commentary to go along with the passages, check out two sermons from Mark Driscoll’s “Vintage Jesus” series (found on ITunes or at the Mars Hill sermon page). The first is “Week Three: What did Jesus accomplish on the cross?” and the second is “Week Four: Did Jesus rise from death?” Unfortunately, there are no direct links to these messages, so you’ll have to hunt for them a bit.
Lastly, as you go about your studies, keep this focus in mind: Why exactly are we thankful for the death and resurrection of Christ?
